We’ve already established that betting on the personal lives of celebrities is just about the funnest thing you can do with a pocketful of change – but what about betting on the Royal Family?

That’s even better, of course, because what exactly do they do all day? They spend all their time sitting around eating swans, opening municipal libraries and generally laughing at the poor, that’s what. So isn’t it time you made a bit of money from them for a change?

Prince William to get engaged – Prince William is one of the most
eligible bachelors on the face of the Earth. Forget his weird horsey
face or his bizarre hair or the cringeworthy way he says things like
"sorted" to homeless people to try and show that he’s cool – Prince
William will (probably) one day be King Of England. And the nearest
thing to a Queen that he has at the moment is Kate Middleton, his
girlfriend. Will they get engaged this year? Probably not – Prince
William has kind of robotically stated that it’ll be another six years
before he marches anyone down the aisle, not least Kate Middleton.

Prince Harry to get engaged – Prince Harry is going through that
stage that all young boys go through, where they all think they’re Liam
Gallagher. He smokes dope! He punches photographers! He dresses up as
Nazis! He, um, enjoys a bloody good game of polo at the weekends!
Prince Harry is notoriously stupid, and for a while he had an
awful-sounding girlfriend called Chelsy. Whether or not they are still
together is a bit moot and, as such, the betting odds of Prince Harry
are a bit longer than his brother’s. Current Engagement odds – 11/1

Either Prince William OR Prince Harry to get engaged – If, like us,
you have a bit of difficulty actually telling the two Princes apart,
you might want to bet on this market, for either Prince William or
Prince Harry to get engaged in 2006. Not to each other, you understand,
although that would be far less inbred than what some of the other
