You’d have thought that by now, all the Harry Potter hype would have burnt itself out. But you’re foolishly wrong – Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire managed to sell five million DVDs on its first day.
That’s fantastic news for everyone involved in the Harry Potter movies. Warner Brothers can now buy a few more bald midgets to use to strike matches off, JK Rowling has come one step closer to being able to buy the solar system and give it her name, plus it’ll keep Hermione in beer money for the next week or two as well.
Harry Potter’s days are probably numbered. All kind of people think that Harry Potter will die
at the end of the next Harry Potter (DVDs) book, including JK Rowling, if reports are to be believed. Obviously, you
could expect that a Harry Potter resurrection would magically appear as
soon as whatever JK Rowling tries to do after Potter fails and she runs out
of money. But we don’t think she’ll ever run out of money.
Even something as innocuous as one day of DVD sales of Harry Potter
And The Goblet Of Fire has sent the cash registers ringing into
overdrive. On Tuesday, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire was released
in America, and by the end of play five million copies had been shifted
– a record for the Harry Potter franchise. The previous Harry Potter
film, Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban has only shifted 10.2 million
copies on DVD, and that’s been out for ages.
Of course, it helps that Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire came
out in so many different DVD packages – there’s single-disc sets,
two-disc special editions, four-disc gift packs and rental copies of
Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire to take into to consideration – so
that’s only one and a bit million copies each. Doesn’t really seem so
special now.
The DVD success of Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire is by no
means a record – that goes to Finding Nemo which sold eight million
copies in a day in 2003 – but it won’t stop the Harry Potter stars
celebrating. Rupert Grint will pull a very special confused face to mark the occasion,
Daniel Radcliffe will probably buy a private jet or two with his massive fortune and Emma Watson… well, 15-year-old Emma Watson will party down the only way she knows.

Obviousally, if HP and the GOF sold 5 million DVD’s on it’s first day, then it is doing something right. You can mock what you think the stars of the film are going to do with their earnings, but the fact remains that they had to work for that money. They deserve every bit of fame that they have in my opinion, they worked for it.
As for the picture, being as this is an article about HP and the GOF, shouldn’t there be a picture for that movie, and not the third?

Harry Potter is boring, geeky shit. And the stupid conceited little idiot that plays him hassuddenly been infected with the ‘Holy shit im famous, i better start behaving like a dick’ syndrome which has plagued the lives of many.

Actually, Dan, who plays Harry is very down to earth and he has never wasted his money. He is a nice kid, who helps charity since he was very young and he has never been arrogant or “been infected with the “‘Holy shit im famous, i better start behaving like a dick’ syndrome”.
He works 12 months every year since he was 8 or 9 years old, I think he has earned what he has.

Well, I’m a big Rupert Grint fan, and I’m buying the DVD because of Rupert. I love him, he’s always been down-to-earth and he has shown he hasn’t changed, based on the fans’ reports from both the film’s London and New York Premieres!
I used to be just a Harry Potter fan, but now I’m just a Rupert Grint fan. I don’t like the Potter movies anymore because of what they did to my favorite character, Ron, and Rupert. Honestly, I only watch the films now because of Rupert. I still care about the books tho, I love JKR and will definitely see the books to the end.

Emaa Drinking to bottles of beer god get her to AA quick. God get a grip most teenager drink these days. Rupert Grint is an amazing actor and deserves all the fame he has. And Dan Also has worked very hard to earn the money he has and be in his position. Plus I don’t think it is anyodys business how they celebrate or spend there money.
