Poor Kylie Minogue. Since she was diagnosed with breast cancer, people have forgotten what it is that she does.
Kylie is now seen by the masses as a tiny woman in a bandanna who hobbles around Paris watching episodes of Little Britain and trying to raise a smile; when really she’s a tiny woman in hotpants who jiggles her bum about in music videos.
Just to remind people who she is, Kylie has booked a comeback tour for the end of next year.
When Kylie Minogue (CDs) was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier in the
year, she scrapped all her Australian tour dates to get immediate
treatment. Although an operation to have the growth removed was
successful, Kylie has been on a course of chemotherapy ever since.
She
has also been pictured in all the Sunday newspapers every single week being
all sad and brave and everything, even though her cancer treatment has
prevented her from returning to Australia for Christmas.
But now Kylie feels well enough to schedule her big return to the
stage. The Kylie Minogue comeback tour will take place in Australia at
the end of next year. Michael Gudinski of her Australian tour promoter
Frontier Touring Company said:
"We appreciate the end of next year is
a long time away for ticketholders and the option of refunding tickets
will remain available to fans. Kylie has decided the 2006 version of Showgirl will be varied and
updated from the original seen in 2005 as a thank-you for the patience
and understanding of Australian ticketholders."
Meanwhile,
at least we know that Kylie is amusing herself by watching non-stop
episodes of Little Britain and Catherine Tate. Jesus, no wonder she
looks so sad all the time.
