What a week it’s been. It’s only Wednesday and we’ve already seen enough oddness to last us a month…
*Courtney Love might be by Alan Partridge,
*Richard Bacon might be married to Britney Spears,
*There’s a schoolboy Ozzy Osbourne/Iron Maiden fight,
*Batman‘s gone a bit gay,
*The Piano Man was just having a bit of a laugh.
And now? What could possibly top that list of bizarro news? Well, you might want to sit down for this one:
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have only gone and toured a dinosaur museum together!
In probably the biggest, most groundbreaking news story ever, it
appears that Brad Pitt (DVDs) telephoned the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Alberta,
Canada and asked when he and Angelina Jolie (DVDs) could visit unnoticed to
look at the dinosaurs. The museum told them to come at 7pm, so they
did. They had a bit of a look round, bought some toys at the gift shop
and then left again.
Wendy Taylor, spokesperson for the museum broke this stunning news
by reporting that "They are both very down-to-earth people and most
appreciative. Our staff members were very impressed at how nice they
were."
We’re kidding. It’s not a big story at all – the only reason people are vaguely interested in these
Pitt/Jolie/Dinosaur exploits is because a judge has approved the
divorce of Jennifer Aniston (DVDs) and Brad Pitt, although the divorce won’t
be finalised until October 2nd.
We all know the story by now. Brad Pitt meets and falls in love with
Jennifer Aniston, they have a million-dollar wedding in Malibu, there are four years of happiness and then Brad signs to star in Mr & Mrs
Smith. Suddenly things aren’t so rosy for Pitt and Aniston, and they
split. Although Brad is often seen with Angelina Jolie, his Smith
co-star, neither party comments on the relationship. Then Aniston does
an interview with Vanity Fair where she admits that she goes to a beach
and screams at the sea.
But now the divorce is working it’s way through the system. Neither party contested the divorce,
and an out-of-court agreement has already been made.
Actually, the thing about the dinosaurs was probably more interesting, wasn’t it?
